Stick-Horse TRAIL RIDE

The Stick Horse Trail Ride within this year’s Evergreen Rodeo Parade will be at 10 AM on June 20th so make sure to mark your calendar.

Stick Horse Riders must be at least 3 years old and weigh less than 500 pounds on the day of the ride. The entry fee is $5 if you are riding your own horse, and $25 if you are purchasing one of our well-trained stick horses from the Evergreen Rodeo Livery. Payments can be made online through PayPal

Space is limited and sign-up is on a first-come – first-served basis. Please download and fill out the Stick Horse Trail Ride Participant release form and upload prior to check-in on Saturday, June 20th.

Contestants and parents/guardians should arrive at the Parade prior to 9:45 and check in at the Stick Horse Corral starting at 8:45 am.  The corral check-in table is near The Bait Shack. The end of the Trail Ride will be on the other side (East side) of the announcers stand, across from the Little Bear. Dusty Lil cow pokes can be collected there round 10:20 am.

The Stick Horse Trail Ride Participant Release Form must have been signed and uploaded by a parent or guardian before you check in.

Failure to check in as instructed with a completed release form will result in forfeiture of the child’s spot to ride and entry fee. One parent will be allowed into the parade with each participant.

The Evergreen Rodeo, a Colorado mountain tradition, traces its roots to the early 20th century when the cattle industry spurred local rodeo rivalries in the logging and ranching community around Bear Creek.
